This paper reports the curative effect analysis of 9 cases of WEST syndrome treated with seed growth factor (NGF). After 3 months, the curative effect was determined: 7 cases of spastic attack were controlled, 2 cases of attack frequency were reduced by 50-75%, EEG was significantly improved, and the results of 1-3 years of follow-up showed that most of the original intellectual development disorders were normal. It is believed that the occurrence of WEST syndrome may be due to the abnormality of NGF, the lack of nutritional protection of NGF in the central nervous system, resulting in the imbalance of neurotransmitters in the brain, the development of brain cholinergic neurons, resulting in mental retardation and spasticity.
