Abstract: From March 1990 to March 1992, 17 cases of decompensated cirrhosis were treated with fetal liver cell suspension (Fetal Liver Cell Suspension,FLC) as an adjuvant therapy, and 15 cases were treated with regular as a control. Results: In the FLC group, abdominal distension, anorexia and appetite disappeared in 17 cases after one month, and fatigue disappeared in 16 cases. In 9 cases, 7 cases of ascites disappeared and 2 cases were relieved. 4 cases of splenomegaly were reduced in 3 cases. 5 cases of coagulation dysfunction in 3 cases returned to normal. 17 cases of abnormal serum albumin ball, 12 cases have improved significantly. In the control group, the above changes were not obvious after one month. Abdominal distension in 13 cases was relieved in 6 cases, anorexia in 14 cases, 7 cases were relieved, fatigue in 15 cases and disappeared in 5 cases. In 6 cases of ascites, 2 cases disappeared and 1 case increased. In 5 cases of splenomegaly, no 1 case was significantly reduced, and 2 cases of 10 cases of coagulopathy returned to normal. Serum albumin was abnormal in 15 cases and improved in 5 cases. The results suggest that FLC has a good effect in the treatment of liver cirrhosis, and no side effects, convenient donor source, simple operation, worthy of further research and application.
