Effect of Shenqi Fuzheng Injection on Immune Function of Patients with Breast Cancer

Abstract:Objective To investigate the repair effect and mechanism of Shenqi Fuzheng injection on immune function damage in patients with breast cancer from the cellular and molecular levels. Methods Seventy-seven patients with pathologically diagnosed breast cancer were divided into three groups, 22 cases in group A were treated with surgery only, 26 cases in group B with preoperative chemotherapy plus surgery, 29 cases in group C with preoperative chemotherapy plus Shenqi Fuzheng injection plus surgery, and 22 cases in group D with benign tumors as control. The expression levels of CD83, CD80 and CD86 proteins in tumor tissues and draining lymph nodes were detected by flow cytometry. Results The expression levels of CD83, CD80 and CD86 protein in cancer tissues and axillary lymph node cells in groups A, B and C were significantly lower than those in group D (P<0.05). The CD83 in group B was lower than that in group A, and the CD83 in group C was higher than that in group B (P<0.05,P<0.01), and the CD80 in axillary lymph node cells was higher than that in group A (P<0.05). Conclusion Tumor and chemotherapy have adverse effects on the immune function of the body. Shenqi Fuzheng injection may be involved in activating the function of dendritic cells, up-regulating the level of costimulatory molecules, and helping to repair the body's immune injury.
