Abstract: Objective: To explore the role and value of acupuncture in the rehabilitation of cerebral palsy. Methods 100 children with spastic cerebral palsy aged from 2 to 7 years old were treated with acupuncture and moxibustion and randomly divided into two groups. The treatment group (acupuncture NGF rehabilitation training) 50 cases, the control group (rehabilitation training) 50 cases, the use of Bobath and Vojta method for physical therapy (PT), 90dl courses. Results: The total effective rate of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group. After treatment, the developmental quotient (DQ) value of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.010). The improvement rate of brain dysplasia and brain atrophy on head CT and the normal recovery rate of brain neuron metabolism function on head ECT were higher in the treatment group than in the control group (P<0.01). Conclusion: Acupuncture and moxibustion can promote the compensation of brain function and improve the quality of life of children with cerebral palsy.
