The Present Situation and Progress of the Study on the Essence of Yin Deficiency Syndrome

Abstract: The core of the theory of traditional Chinese medicine is syndrome. It is the key to realize the modernization of the theory of traditional Chinese medicine to study and clarify the essence and pathogenesis mechanism of TCM syndrome with modern medical theory. For half a century, the medical community in China has studied the essence of syndrome from the aspects of endocrine, immunity, energy metabolism, blood circulation, cytokines and trace element content in the body, and has made a lot of achievements and progress. This paper reviews the present situation and prospect of the study on the essence of Yin deficiency syndrome.
